Roger Stone’s goose is cooked — and probably Jerome Corsi’s too.
In an earlier thread today, I pointed out that the claim that the Trump campaign had advance knowledge (as early as 21 Aug 2016) of the October release of the Podesta emails is not addressed directly anywhere in the Report, 1/15
though it is implied everywhere. (It is also quite plausible.) I also wondered whether Rs would challenge Mueller about this. 2/15
But I just thought of something that I’m sure clears up the quandary, which is this: Rs and Ds have had access for months to a version of the Report in which only the grand jury materials remain redacted. 3/15
The HOM (harm to ongoing trials and investigations material) is *not redacted in that version.* 4/15
Now consider what the “Mueller Strategy” that Pelosi has been circulating to her caucus says on this point. Note that it is quite categorical in its assertion: 5/15
As I read the Report, this must mean that whoever wrote the “Mueller Strategy” must be referring to advance knowledge of the WikiLeaks release of the Podesta emails on 7 Oct 2016. 6/15
And this must mean that Ds KNOW that Vol I:55–56 establishes beyond any reasonable doubt that Trump got advance knowledge of the WikiLeaks dump of the Podesta emails from someone, either directly or more likely indirectly, through Stone and Corsi. 7/15
Folks, I will say it again: the Roger Stone trial, which has been scheduled to begin on Nov 5, is a BIG THING. 8/15
Mueller only resigned when he did because he thought it unlikely he could ever prove criminal conspiracy, but knew he had MORE than enough to show collusion in any ordinary language sense of the word as well as obstruction. 9/15
Rest assured: the fact that Mueller closed up shop well before the November 5 date of the Stone trial doesn’t mean that the trial isn’t important. In fact, Stone is much more important than figures like Flynn and Papadopoulos to Trump-Russia. 10/15
Manafort is even more important than Stone, but Manafort got sent to jail for things having nothing to do with the campaign. But that is not true of Stone, and that is why I spent 61 pages discussing and analyzing the Stone indictment and the upcoming trial. 11/15
You can read it here. 12/15
Below is the evidence that Rs and Ds (at least those who have taken the trouble to do it) have seen the unredacted stuff on Stone and Corsi in Vol I:55–56 of the Report: 13/15
